Musical RPM “Shorts Consistency Challenge”
Challenge Terms & Conditions
(Last updated 17 September 2025 — incorporates referral-contest rules and revised prize-pool calculation)
Important: This challenge is run by Musical RPM. It is in no way affiliated with, or endorsed by, Google, YouTube or any other third party.
1. Overview
The Shorts Consistency Challenge (“Challenge”) rewards creators for posting qualifying YouTube Shorts streaks between 16 September 2025 and 18 November 2025 (“Challenge Period”).
Your longest consecutive-day streak during the Challenge Period equals the number of entries you receive in the main prize draw (e.g., a 15-day streak = 15 entries).
Two prize pools are available:
| Pool | Funding Formula | Example if total net royalties = $18 000 |
|---|---|---|
| Main Prize Pool | 50 % of Musical RPM’s retained royalty after creator revenue shares are deducted, capped at USD $10 000 | 50 % × $18 000 = $9 000 |
| Referral Prize Pool | ⅓ of the Main Prize Pool | ⅓ × $9 000 = $3 000 |
2. Eligibility
- Open to approved Musical RPM creators aged 18 + (or age of legal majority in your locale).
- Void where prohibited.
- Channel must remain in good standing with YouTube and Musical RPM for the entire Challenge Period.
3. What Counts Toward a Streak?
| Criterion | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Length | 35 – 59 seconds (per YouTube timestamp) |
| Music | Exactly one (1) track from the official Challenge music list, audible at ≥ 15 % volume for ≥ 35 s |
| Content ID Note | If Content ID fails to detect the track promptly, you will not be penalised so long as the audio can be manually verified by Musical RPM staff. |
| Compliance | Must not violate YouTube’s Community Guidelines or Musical RPM Terms of Service |
| Upload Window | Published between 00:00 UTC 16 Sep and 23:59 UTC 18 Nov 2025 |
Only the first compliant Short you publish each calendar day (UTC) counts toward your streak.
4. Streak & Referral Tracking
4.1 Streaks
- Measured in consecutive calendar days (UTC).
- Musical RPM uses YouTube API + manual review for validation.
- Deleted or demonetised videos break the streak for affected day(s).
4.2 Referrals
- Each participant receives a unique referral code/link after enrolling.
- Referred creator must:
- Sign up during the Challenge Period using the referrer’s code/link, and
- Achieve a streak of at least 5 qualifying Shorts.
- The creator with the highest number of eligible referrals wins the Referral Prize Pool. Tie-breaker: earliest date by which the last qualifying referral met the 5-Short threshold.
